Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Controls/Electrical Engineer at Custom Dredge Works in Topeka, Kansas. The role involves designing electrical systems, developing control strategies, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with teams to ensure project success.
Controls Engineer Responsibilities and Duties- Migrate current electrical CAD 2D drawings to CAD Electrical.
- Documentation and engineering to include CAD Electrical As-Built drawings.
- Build sheets and inventory management for electrical systems.
- Assist Web Development Engineer in cloud data migration and AI analysis.
- Assist the Panel Shop with current electrical controls assembly and installation.
- Assist Field Technicians with trouble shooting and start-up of electrical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or electrical engineering preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of work experience in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience in PLC Ladder Logic design and troubleshooting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and implement specifications.
