- Lead a team on engineers across various companies in manufacturing, fabrication, and machining.
- In charge of hiring, training, and managing a team of engineers and checkers.
- Oversee multiple projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Handling multiple commercial structural steel projects from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Supervise the structural design process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all contract documents, specifications, and building codes.
- Working with other departments, such as estimating, project management, and production, to support project goals.
- Implement and oversee quality control processes for engineering and detailing.
- Provide roadmap for growth of Engineering department to ensure future capacity.
- Manage project budgets and deadlines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Work with a team of detailers who will build fabrication models and drawings that will be used to fabricate steel members and parts that will be assembled in the field
- Degree in Engineering or Construction Science required
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years of management experience preferred
- Experience with AISC, IBC, OSHA codes preferred
- Experience in RISA 3D preferred
- Experience with Tekla Structures preferred
- General knowledge of structural steel and miscellaneous metals preferred
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and contract specifications preferred
