Position Overview
This is a Lecturer opening which is a non‑tenure‑track member of the faculty whose primary role is instructional, teaching Pharm D students within the professional pharmacy program with no obligations to perform research or service. This is a one‑year appointment through May 16, 2027. This position will teach courses within one or more of the departments:
Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology & Toxicology, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. This position will be in‑person on the Lawrence, Kansas campus.
40% – Delivering education content to enhance learning outcomes of students.
30% – Designing relevant course materials, lesson plans and participating in curriculum development.
20% – Providing academic advising, mentoring students, and answering their questions on course materials.
10% – Assessing student progress through assignments, quizzes, and examinations.
Required Qualifications- Pharm
D or PhD in a science related field. - Knowledge in two or more areas of: modern biochemistry, chemical biology, physiochemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, or organic chemistry or related fields.
- Experience teaching professional students, in particular pharmacist students.
- Experience with Canvas.
- Prior teaching experience within higher education.

Advertised Salary RangeCommensurate with experience and based on credit hour.
