Dental Care Specialist for All Ways Community Health Center. Provides comprehensive dental care services in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of dental diseases, injuries, and deformities; performs related work as required.

• Examines, diagnoses, treats and prescribes medications to patients.
• Administers local anesthetic and nitrous oxide when indicated.
• Provides preventative dental services (prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, fluoride treatment, varnishes, sealants, radiographic procedures, patient education).
• Performs operative dentistry (fillings, crowns).
• Provides pediatric dental services.
• Conducts oral surgery (simple to moderately complex extractions).
• Manages endodontic procedures on selected cases if clinic becomes equipped.
• Offers emergency dental care.
• Refers patients with needs beyond general dentist scope.
• Maintains dental records per clinic policies.
• Provides inpatient dental services within scope of training.
• Reviews radiological and medical reports and incorporates findings into care plans.
• Detects and diagnoses dental diseases (decay, periodontal disease, abscesses, fractures).
• Manages dental and medical emergencies (CPR certified; emergency drugs, oxygen supply, emergency number directory).
• Conducts oral cancer screening.
• Protects patients and staff by adhering to infection control policies.
• Maintains operation of dental equipment through preventive maintenance.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Maintains professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies.
