Overview
Are you detail-obsessed, tech-savvy, and ready to make a difference in public health? Join a nationally recognized team leading the way in disease surveillance and health data modernization. As a Data Quality Coordinator, you’ll work at the center of the government's efforts to improve STI, HIV, and hepatitis data accuracy. You’ll help ensure records are complete, secure, and accurate—directly supporting the state’s disease tracking, prevention, and public health innovation.
If you thrive in a structured, high-impact environment, and love working with data and systems, this role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a team making statewide impact.
- Maintain and manage sensitive public health records using secure, encrypted, and paperless systems
- Perform data review, entry, and redaction (via Adobe Pro), ensuring accuracy across STI, HIV, and hepatitis case reports
- Navigate multiple databases and recognize gaps, missing fields, or red flags in data patterns
- Collaborate with team members on data improvement projects, while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality standards
- Strong computer literacy and experience navigating digital record systems, databases, and secure files
- High attention to detail with a “do it right the first time” mindset—85% of the role involves digital data processing
- Prior experience with Adobe Pro (for red actions) or working in a public health, administrative, or medical data environment is a strong plus
- Excellent time management, flexibility, and professionalism when handling sensitive health-related data
