Accounting Specialist

Vaerus Aviation is seeking a detail‑oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist to support the day‑to‑day financial operations of a growing aviation company. This role plays a key part in keeping our books clean, expenses on track, and processes moving smoothly.
This position is built for someone who thrives in structure and consistency and takes pride in supporting clean, efficient accounting operations. The right candidate will be steady, accurate, comfortable with process work, and happy contributing to a collaborative finance team that values trust, professionalism, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities- Enter and manage accounts payable and receivable
- Process and track employee and aircraft‑related expenses
- Prepare and enter invoices into operating accounts
- Monitor payment timing and maintain clean records
- Assist with reconciliations and month‑end close
- Support document filing, vendor follow‑up, and account organization
- Communicate clearly and reliably with internal team members
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in daily work
- Comfortable following established processes and procedures
- Clear understanding of how growing businesses operate, where financial timing, cash flow awareness, process accuracy, and flexible decision‑making all play a role in success
- Experience in multi‑account or project‑based businesses
- Familiarity with expense tracking and account reconciliations
- 2–3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Positive attitude and dependable work ethic
