Job Duties and Responsibilities
** Safely operates a nail gun. Understands its safety features and knows how to appropriately use without causing wood to splinter, shine or shoot out where it can injure the associate or anyone else Safely operates all chop, panel, table, and hand saws Safely operates all other hand tools needed for the required job, such as Framing Hammers Builds wall panels in a safe manner Completes assignments efficiently and within a given deadline Present at workstation wearing personal protection equipment and ready to work at starting time Maintains a tidy work area
** Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
*** Able to accurately read and use a tape measure down to the 16th of an inch
* Able to identify all lumber products by size, type, and species by sight
* Able to read, interpret and understand all aspects of build sheets
* Can identify the different components, measurements, materials, species, and nail patterns
* Knowledge of common building materials used in residential, multi-family and commercial construction
* Knowledge of component manufacturing process used in residential, multi-family and commercial construction
* Attention to detail, takes pride in quality of work
* Strong basic math skills
* Strong teamwork ethic
* Communicates effectively with team members
