Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Lead provides leadership and technical guidance to the maintenance team while ensuring plant equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role is responsible for coordinating preventative maintenance activities, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.

The Maintenance Lead serves as the first level of leadership for the maintenance team and works closely with Operations and Quality teams to support production performance and plant reliability.

• Lead and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and production continuity.
• Provide preventative maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and technical support for plant equipment and production systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues.
• Schedule preventative maintenance and repairs in coordination with Operations to minimize downtime and overtime.
• Ensure equipment performance meets operational and quality requirements.
• Investigate equipment failures and implement cost-effective corrective solutions.
• Maintain and improve preventative maintenance programs to support plant reliability.
• Support spare parts management and maintenance inventory control.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean principles, 5S practices, Kaizen events, and error proofing (Poka-Yoke).
• Work with management to develop and implement maintenance strategies that improve operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance practices, and plant performance.
• Assist with plant projects, equipment upgrades, and reliability initiatives.
• Support adherence to quality standards during the manufacturing of bonding resins and powdered chemicals.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and technical direction to maintenance technicians.
• Train, mentor, and support the development of maintenance team members.
• Communicate effectively with Operations, Quality, and plant leadership to ensure maintenance priorities align with production needs.
• Maintain dependable attendance and set the standard for professionalism and teamwork.
• Support cross-shift communication to ensure equipment reliability and operational continuity.

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (SH&E) policies and procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring team members follow all safety standards and best practices.
• Ensure Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures are properly followed and reinforced with team members.
• Participate in safety meetings, site inspections, and safety improvement initiatives.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Conduct equipment inspections and audits to ensure safe operating conditions.

• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 quality requirements and plant documentation standards.
• Demonstrate accountability for maintenance performance, safety, and operational results.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to support projects or other plant locations if needed.
• Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and alternative schedules as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
