The RoleCatering Services are looking for a self–motivated and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Cook in Charge at Tonyrefail Community Lower School.
Working hours will be approximately 5 hours a day, usually between 9.00am and 2.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation, cooking and serving of all meals, snacks and beverages including any medically prescribed dietary requirements, appropriate care plan and/or medical or dietitians’ recommendation.
- Operate the kitchen in accordance with legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures in relation to Food Safety and Health and Safety.
- Order adequate food and sundries and ensure that the catering operation meets the site/establishment's financial objectives to include effective portion control.
- Undertake digital administration and associated paperwork.
- Supervision of all staff working within the food preparation area.
- To communicate with staff and customers in a pleasant and professional manner at all times.
Have experience of cooking for large volumes of customers. Demonstrate good communication skills, and a positive ‘action focused’ attitude. Will be enthusiastic with a logical and organised approach to planning, and the ability to function effectively under pressure. Foster a positive safety culture, and customer focused environment.
