About the Role

Kentec Training is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable CITB Site Safety Plus Training Instructor to join our in‑house instructor team.

As part of our in‑house Instructor team, you’ll play a key role in delivering our library of CITB Site Safety Plus courses at our Tonbridge and Ashford training centres, and privately at client sites across the southeast of England.

You’ll join a close‑knit team of friendly and like‑minded instructors with a dedicated support team based at our Tonbridge headquarters. You’ll also have clear avenues for career growth and professional development.

What We’re Looking For

A diligent, passionate and experienced individual that upholds Kentec Training’s industry reputation for training excellence, provides a premium learning experience for our delegates, and maintains high safety standards. Amongst other areas, you’ll be responsible for delivering:

  • CITB Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Courses
  • CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Courses
  • CITB Health & Safety Awareness (HSA) Courses
  • CITB Temporary Works Co‑ordinator Training Courses (TWCTC) – if applicable
  • CITB Temporary Works Supervisor Training Courses (TWSTC) – if applicable

Please note that this list is not exhaustive. You may be required to support additional projects and assist colleagues as needed to meet the evolving requirements of the business.

Avenues for Growth

There are potential avenues for career growth towards delivery of a host of accredited health & safety courses, such as:

  • IOSH Health & Safety Courses
  • Qualsafe Health & Safety Courses
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate

As part of our Trainee Instructor Program, we will guide and develop your skillset to expand the library of courses you can teach and provide you with a tangible sense of career progression. Instructors will also have the opportunity to work alongside our management team to write & develop our own bespoke courses and learning materials.

Necessary Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must hold the following qualifications:

  • A NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK), or equivalent.
  • A formal teaching/training qualification, equivalent to a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an occupational construction management role.
  • Clean UK driving licence & authority to work in the UK.
Ideal Skills & Abilities

The following skills and abilities will go a long way in our consideration for you for the role:

  • Proven delivery of accredited H&S training (e.g. CITB, IOSH, NEBOSH, etc) with strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and Risk Management
  • Confident and engaging communication skills with effective classroom facilitation and learner assessment abilities
  • Highly organised, professional, and punctual
  • Committed to ongoing CPD (Career Professional Development)
