Building Surveyor (Client Side)

An established and well-resourced property owner is seeking a Building Surveyor to join their in-house team in Kent.

This is a client-side, project-focused role offering the opportunity to work across a diverse and interesting portfolio including residential, agricultural and retail assets. The position sits within a collaborative internal construction management team and offers genuine involvement from strategy through to delivery.

• Leading and supporting a range of project-focused surveying instructions
• Diagnosing building pathology and preparing detailed specifications of work
• Contract administration and overseeing works on site
• Working closely with the internal construction management team to deliver projects effectively
• Supporting change of use strategies across the portfolio
• Advising on works to conservation and heritage buildings
• Ensuring projects are delivered to programme, budget and quality standards

• Proven experience in a Building Surveying role (client-side or consultancy)
• Strong technical knowledge including building pathology and specification writing
• Experience administering contracts and managing works on site
• Understanding of conservation and heritage buildings
• Commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to change of use strategies
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach
• Able to work both independently and as part of a wider team
• MRICS qualified or working towards chartership (desirable)
