Role Overview
This position provides mental health counseling services to OCC and Kean‑Ocean students. The College is seeking a bilingual, licensed mental health counselor who can provide clinical counseling services in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Human Services with a focus on clinical mental health counseling.
- Two or more years of experience in mental health counseling, providing direct services to individuals and groups.
- Demonstrated skill in responding to clients in high emotional distress or psychological crisis.
- Possession of LAC, LSW or other related mental health licensure in New Jersey; an LPC or LCSW must be secured within 3 years of hire if not already licensed.
- Experience in college or community college environment.
- Understanding of addiction and recovery issues (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related technology for documentation and reporting.
