Accounts Payable Specialist (Temporary – 3 months)

Toms River, NJ (Onsite) | $25/hr

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support an accounting team during a temporary assignment. This role is heavily focused on bank reconciliations and accounts payable processing and is ideal for someone who is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Process vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports
  • Assist with month‑end close, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding invoice or payment inquiries
  • Support ad‑hoc reporting and audit requests
Requirements
  • 1+ year of accounting experience with a focus on accounts payable
  • Hands‑on experience with bank reconciliations
  • Working knowledge of general ledger and month‑end close processes
  • Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred (Not Required)
  • Experience in healthcare or non‑profit environments
  • Exposure to fund accounting
Assignment Details
  • 3‑month temporary role with potential extension
  • Onsite position in Toms River, NJ
