CNC HBM Machinist

Overview

CNC Machinist – Tomball, TX – Flexblue Staffing is currently seeking a CNC Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist.

• The CNC Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist (HBM) will perform a variety of finish machining practices involved with drilling, threading (tap & thread mill), boring, etc., while maintaining close tolerances on a wide variety of components from various industries.
• The ideal candidate needs to be fluent with Fanuc Controls (Tosnuc) including A+ experience with cogs dill contouring heads and the use of right-angle heads.
• The candidate must be able to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, read and understand programs, all to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements.

• Must have basic hand & measuring tools, indicators, etc.
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be required to stand and walk for significant portions of the shift.
• Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs., walk, climb, reach, kneel, crawl, and balance.
• Must be able to use hands for assembly and tool usage.
• Must not have allergies or issues related to handling metals including aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel.
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a machine-shop environment.
• High school Diploma or GED from an accredited learning institution
• 2 Years Previous experience preferred.
• Maintain a safe working environment and a commitment to safety excellence.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with the safety policy, procedures, and instructions.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Must be able to read and understand Blueprints and G-Code
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.
• Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues.
