POSITION OVERVIEW

The Recruiting Coordinator is a key support role within our Operations team, reporting directly to the Talent Strategy Manager. You will be responsible for keeping our hiring process efficient, organized, and candidate-friendly - from reviewing applications and surfacing top talent to coordinating interviews and managing our pipeline. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their HR or recruiting career who shares our values and wants to grow within a purpose-driven company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review incoming applications and evaluate candidates against role requirements, surfacing the most qualified individuals to the Talent Strategy Manager
  • Develop a consistent screening approach to assess candidate fit across skills, experience, and alignment with Northstar’s values
  • Maintain a well-organized pipeline in the ATS, ensuring every candidate is accurately staged and none fall through the cracks
  • Provide clear, concise summaries and recommendations to support informed hiring decisions
Candidate Experience & Coordination
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, managing calendars across multiple roles simultaneously
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring timely and professional communication
  • Prepare candidates with role information, interview logistics, and a welcoming experience that reflects Northstar’s values
Recruiting Operations
  • Post and maintain job descriptions across job boards, Linked In, and industry-specific platforms
  • Manage and update our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure accurate pipeline data and candidate records
  • Support background check initiation, offer letter preparation, and onboarding coordination
  • Generate recruiting activity reports and assist with tracking key hiring metrics for the Talent Strategy Manager
Team & Process Support
  • Partner with the Talent Strategy Manager and hiring managers to understand role requirements and priority timelines
