Position Description
P4
FIP (Precinct 4 Forward Internship Program) is a 9‑week paid summer internship for students passionate about serving others. You will be surrounded by team members who bring “heart, hustle, and higher standards” to work each day. These leaders advance opportunity and justice as they deliver services to and advocate for the residents of Harris County. The team you will be joining is innovative, dynamic, and forward‑looking.
We’ve designed our program to expose students to career opportunities with Harris County and apply what they have learned in the classroom to hands‑on projects. P4
FIP provides students the chance to bridge the gap between academic understanding and practical professional experience. Students from all schools, including those who identify with historically underrepresented groups—Black, Hispanic, Native American, students with disabilities, and veterans—are encouraged to apply. Interns will create a community to help support their personal and professional development throughout the summer as they launch their career. Interns will work with a mentor, form relationships with other interns, and engage our Senior Leadership Team.
