As a Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for
  • Assist Warehouse Manager with tasks as assigned, including developing and implementing SOPs to standardize best practices and continually improve operations.
  • Ensuring goods are received and stored efficiently and maintain required records conformance with company policy and customer agreements.
  • Executing proper routing, loading and preparing orders for shipment and delivery in accordance with customer instructions.
  • Planning, scheduling and executing all inventory activities including cycle counting, inventory transactions, auditing and reporting.
  • Effectively monitoring the progress of daily orders using the WMS, generating and maintaining inventory reports and records.
  • Using excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to deal positively with senior management, sales staff, employees, vendors and customers.
  • Providing superior customer service to Dircks customers by answering inquiries via telephone, email and meetings.
  • Processing orders in the WMS, preparing and communicating customer documents including PODs, BOLs, transaction reports.
  • Performing departmental invoicing.
  • Attending staff meetings as scheduled, resolving delivery complaint issues quickly and attending product knowledge seminars as required by management.
  • Following company policies and procedures. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Qualifications

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office word processing software, as well as Cisco phone systems. Movers Suite knowledge is preferred, but not required.
