Prime Air is seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Flight Safety and Compliance Officer (SCO) to join our dynamic team.
As the local safety and flight operations expert, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and compliant operation of our drone delivery fleet.
- Conduct regular evaluations of flight monitors, ground crew, and operations to ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures.
- Monitor all aspects of flight safety at Prime Air delivery sites, including risk assessment and incident investigation.
- Assist in creating and maintaining accurate records for assigned flight crew.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for frontline regulatory partners during inspections and visits.
- Analyze flight data and safety metrics to identify trends and potential risks, and report findings to senior leadership.
- Conduct routine audits of flight operations, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) site safety, and compliance, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Stay informed on and comply with all applicable Flight Safety, WHS, and Flight Operations regulations and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with all levels of the organization to promote a strong safety culture.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- 2+ years of experience in a safety-critical role
- Knowledge of Flight Safety, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), and Flight Operations regulations and procedures
- Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
- Travel up to 25% of the time
- Experience developing and delivering training programs
- Ability to get FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot Certification in the first 90 days
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of operations
- Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities; experience delivering exceptional service
- Ability to work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
