Production Associate

We have an exciting opportunity available for a 1 st shift Production Associate at our Tolleson, AZ facility!

Schedule for this position:
Monday - Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm. Overtime is required based on business need.

• Performs one or more operations to manufacture, assemble, label, inspect and package product.
• Informs appropriate supervisor of any process malfunctions or product issues.
• Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Ability to set up production line with proper packaging material, material routing, valve settings, and weight calibrations.
• Ability to use a fork truck and scanning gun to record movements of materials in the facility's Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Must be available to work scheduled shift and overtime as necessary.
• Ability to fill quart, gallon and four-gallon pails with product and applying lids.
• Ability to prepare cases with appropriate labels and assemble cases.
• Ability to prepare, placard, assemble, package, close and palletize cases with pails.
• Ability to move pallets to stretch wrapper, stretch wrapping pallets and move finished pallet to staging area utilizing fork truck.
• Must be able to receive finished goods into warehouse management system utilizing scan gun.
• Must maintain a clean and organized facility to include sweeping, trash removal, consolidating pallets etc.
• Must maintain a safe work environment including by adhering to all safety rules and reporting all accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions to management.
• Other duties assigned.

• High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to communicate in the English language, both written and spoken.
• Average ability to work out mathematical calculations, which require extending numbers by using multiplication, division, addition and subtraction.
• Two to three years related work experience.
• Ability to lift from floor level to a height of four (4) feet.
• Must be able to see and to step over obstacles with a height of six (6) inches, and around obstacles of 40’’ x 48’’.
• Lift properly. At QEP, you are regularly required to lift and/or move items weighing 50-70 pounds (depending on assignment); up to 100 lbs. occasionally with mechanical aids and team lifting.
• Must be able to hear forklift and related equipment.
• Must be able to stand or sit for long periods.

• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
• Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement and volume.
• Ability to use scales, measuring devices, sample gauges and markers.

• Ability to understand and follow instructions, ability to learn the methods of various tasks, ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
• Ability to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
