Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing K–8 public charter schools committed to academic excellence, college readiness, and equitable access to high-quality education for students in historically underserved communities. AMS is seeking a passionate and data-driven 5th and 6th Grade Math Teacher to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that fosters scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. AMS teachers are collaborative professionals who believe all scholars can achieve at high levels through structured instruction, strong classroom culture, and consistent use of data to inform practice.

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned science instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.
• Differentiated instruction to meet the needs of students performing above and below grade level.
• Use formative and summative assessment data to guide instructional planning and interventions.
• Foster inquiry-based learning and hands‑on scientific exploration.

• Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and high‑expectations classroom environment.
• Implement PBIS and preventative intervention strategies.
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional development.

• Participate in weekly professional development and professional learning communities.
• Collaborate with grade‑level teams and instructional leaders to strengthen instructional practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the campus.

• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
• Lead parent‑teacher conferences and maintain strong home‑school partnerships.

Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Math or a related field.
• Valid Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject area.

• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
• Pass required background checks and obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Demonstrate commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities.
• Show strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for data-driven instruction.
• Exhibit collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environment.

• Salary Range: $48,331 – $54,571 (DOE)
• $2,000 Sign-On Bonus
