Tax Accountant

Description

We are seeking an experienced Public Tax Accountant/Preparer to join our client's team for the upcoming busy season. In this contract role, you'll manage and review tax engagements for a variety of clients, with a focus on delivering timely, accurate, and compliant results in a fast-paced environment.

The role is fully on site, with no opportunity for remote.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare, review, and file complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships

+ Provide expert tax planning and consulting for clients across diverse industries

+ Research and resolve complex tax issues, preparing technical documentation as needed

+ Monitor changes to tax regulations and communicate updates to clients and colleagues

+ Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing excellent service during the peak season

+ Collaborate with audit and assurance teams as necessary

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA not required but helpful to have

+ 2+ years of public accounting experience in tax

+ Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and compliance requirements

+

Experience with personal and business returns

+ Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

+ Proven record of leadership and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
