Pay & ScheduleHourly rate: $25–$30 per hour (state dependent). This is a non‑standard schedule with variable workdays and hours; early starts (as early as 03:00 AM) and overtime are common. Weekends, holidays, and overnight stays may be required.
Location & TravelThe position is on the road with potential overnight stays and travel across the U.S. required. You will be paid for overnight periods and travel.

- Conduct surveillance by monitoring, tracking, and recording subjects during daily activities, both vehicular and on‑foot.
- Develop and execute pre‑surveillance planning tailored to each location and case.
- Capture detailed video evidence and produce comprehensive reports for clients within required time frames.
- Maintain complete cover, discretion, and safety standards while operating independently.
- Utilize digital surveillance equipment, web‑based technology, and investigative software.
- Communicate consistently with team leaders regarding positions, observations, and tactical strategy.
- Reliable vehicle with legal dark tint
- Smartphone and laptop with Microsoft Word
- Digital camcorder with date/time stamp and upload capability
- Covert camera of choice
- Tripod/monopod and SD cards (if applicable)
- Highly observant, detail‑oriented, and detail‑driven.
- Strong sense of integrity, independence, and reliability.
- Excellent judgment, situational awareness, and adaptability.
- Self‑motivated, autonomous, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to discretion and client confidentiality.
- 1+ years of Private Investigator experience (excluding law enforcement or military).
- 21 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license and clean DMV record.
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred).
- Personal auto insurance with liability limits of 100k/300k/100k.
- Ability to work independently, full attendance, and flexibility for holidays, weekends, and overtime.
- Early start willingness (as early as 03:00 AM) and travel readiness.
- Command Investigations employment application, successful background check, and completion of pre‑employment tasks.
- Remember and understand instructions and guidelines.
- Lift up to 25 lbs (11.34 kg) on occasion.
- Sit, stand, and walk for long periods.
- Enter text or data into a computer using a traditional keyboard.
- Close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision; ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing, understanding, and distinguishing speech and surrounding sounds in various environments.
