Customer Service​/Sales

Position Purpose:

Customer Service/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. They learn about products using our tools and provide information to sell entire projects. Associates will learn to greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales with customers in their department, as well as handle basics in adjacent departments.

Responsibilities include maintaining in-stock conditions, ensuring areas are clean, safe, and shop-able, and providing a safe environment by following safety policies, completing safety training, correcting hazards, and reporting unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.

Associates work closely with their Department Supervisor and other team members across departments, which may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental.

Position types may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.
