Overview

Retail Service Specialist-1 at O'Reilly Auto Parts

Compensation: $10.70 - $16.70 per hour. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance pay or premiums, paid per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may depend on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner; contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, utilizing the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly; issue refunds using the correct payment methods; stage or process returned merchandise appropriately.
• Invoicing of all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedules; obtain management approval for changes/deviations; ensure team members clock in/out according to policy.
• Perform all store opening/closing duties, day-end procedures, money/deposits handling, bank deposits as needed, and security measures (lights, doors, alarm). Check/secure delivery vehicle(s).
• Fulfill all other duties as assigned.

• Required: Strong communication skills
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification

• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge
• ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
