Infectious Disease Mercy Health Toledo

Mercy Health is seeking a compassionate and clinically strong Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Infectious Disease team in Toledo, Ohio. This is a meaningful opportunity to step into a high impact inpatient role within a collaborative and mission driven health system. You will work alongside an experienced Infectious Disease physician and a supportive team, helping to enhance consult response time and deliver timely, efficient care across multiple hospitals in the region.

Position Highlights

• Full time role with a consistent weekday schedule
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Shared weekend responsibilities, approached as a team

Clinical Responsibilities

• Begin your day with hospital rounds at 8:00 am
• Provide thoughtful inpatient consults for new referrals
• Partner in the ongoing management of complex infectious disease cases
• Review labs, imaging, and antimicrobial therapies with clinical precision
• Guide medication management and coordinate care across discipline
• Spend one to two half days per week in the outpatient setting
• Care for an average combined daily census of 12 to 15 adult patients

Support and Team Environment

• Work side by side with a collaborative and highly respected Infectious Disease physician
• Receive direct mentorship and clinical support from Dr. Aouad
• Supported by a dedicated practice administrator and office manager
• Strong medical assistant and patient services coordinator support
• Opportunities to engage with residents who rotate on service
• Meaningful interdisciplinary collaboration across four Mercy Health hospitals

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Licensed in the State of Ohio
• Unrestricted license
• Active DEA
• Passion for inpatient medicine and infectious disease
