Locums Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced

Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenensopportunity in Toledo, OH, supporting a busy Level I Trauma Center. This role offers a mix of inpatient post-operative floor care, ICU coverage, and scheduled office hours within a collaborative cardiothoracic surgery team.

• Weekend Requirements: 2 weekends per month

• Average Daily Census:
  Approximately 12 patients
• Practice Setting:
  • Inpatient post-operative floor
  • ICU care
  • Office/clinic support
• EMR: EPIC
• Trauma Designation:
  Level I

• Provide inpatient post-operative management for cardiothoracic surgery patients
• Manage ICU patients in collaboration with cardiothoracic surgeons and critical care teams
• Conduct daily rounds, assessments, andcare planning
• Respond to on-call needs related to cardiothoracic surgical patients
• Document patient care accurately andtimely in EPIC
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teamsto ensure high-quality, patient-centered care

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with cardiothoracic or surgical experience preferred
• Active Ohio medical license
• NCCPA certification (for Physician Assistants)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
