Salary Range: $18.00 To $18.00 Hourly

A & M Cheese is a processor and distributor of fine cheeses in the US, and is currently looking for you to fill the role of a Sanitation Worker at our Toledo, OH location and become part of our 2 nd shift team.

As a Sanitation Worker
, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment in the plant in compliance with customer specifications and with company policy related to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize equipment using hoses, chemicals, and scrubbing.
• Read chemical labels to ensure safe applications.
• Manually scrub certain areas of machines using brushes or scrub pads.
• Cleaning of the production area.
• Disassembling equipment.
• Perform all assignments or job tasks according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies, and Procedures.
• Other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• General understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
• Ability to make decisions based on standard practices.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, and problem-solve.
• Basic understanding of sanitation processes and related equipment.
• Ability to run sanitation equipment.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate safety labels on chemical containers.
• Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands.
• Hair nets, earplugs/muffs, and/or safety glasses may be required.
• Ability to work overtime as needed with little or no notice.

Schedule - 2nd Shift

• Monday - Thursday 12:00 pm – 9:30 pm
• Fridays as needed.
