Grinder Mill Operator
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Grinder Mill Operator with experience in operating OD/ or JIG Grinders. In this role, you will be responsible for manually setting up and operating machines such as Studer /OD and Moore JIG Grinder, machining large blocks, weldments, and plate work. You will also perform quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges, read blueprints, drill and tap holes, change tooling, and use basic computer skills to track the progress of parts.
Responsibilities- Operate and set up OD/ or JIG Grinders.
- Perform machining on large blocks, weldments, and plate work.
- Read blueprints to machine parts accurately.
- Conduct quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Drill and tap holes as required.
- Change tooling as necessary.
- Use basic computer skills to track the progress of parts.
- 3+ years of grinding experience.
- Experience running OD/ or JIG Grinders.
- Proficient in grinding tooling.
- Experience in setting up and operating machines.
- Ability to indicate parts for OD grinding.
- Capability to hold tolerances to the fourth decimal in English dimensions.
- Proficient in reading and understanding GD&T symbols.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toledo, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $35.00/hr.
