Role
Summary:
The Automotive Quality / Manufacturing Sorter supports quality inspection and material handling activities while ensuring all parts meet customer specifications. The role requires strong attention to detail, precise measurement skills, and the ability to follow instructions accurately while working collaboratively with team members.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, including digital and manual calipers and micrometers
- Ability to perform cycle time measurements using time-study tools
- Strong quality inspection and documentation skills on a daily basis
- Ability to follow work instructions clearly and work collaboratively
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds as required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation
- Must pass an assessment during the interview process to be selected for the role
- Inspect, sort, and verify parts according to customer quality standards
- Use precision measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain digital or physical records
- Follow all work instructions carefully and communicate issues to team leads
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily quality and production objectives
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain organized work areas
- Prior experience in automotive manufacturing or quality inspection
- Familiarity with IATF/ISO quality standards
- Basic knowledge of material handling and inventory management
