The Industrial Engineer – Intermediate plans and oversees the layout of equipment, office, and production facilities. This role focuses on maximizing workflow, improving productivity, and supporting World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have automotive assembly experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with both management and union teams.

• Conduct studies to maximize workflow and spatial utilization
• Ensure facility efficiency and workplace safety
• Perform cycle time and bottleneck analyses
• Develop and improve work methods
• Collaborate with functional and operations managers to improve productivity, quality, and throughput
• Support WCM pillars, especially Workplace Organization (WO) and Logistics (LO)
• Assist the IE Manager with various IE and WCM-related assignments and projects
• Perform manpower planning, leveling, and adjustments based on plant volume changes
• Conduct direct labor, indirect labor, and ergonomic studies
• Interact with production management and union leadership daily regarding staffing requirements and IE activities

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in industrial/manufacturing engineering
• Automotive assembly process knowledge
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work any shift

• Proficient or certified in MODAPTS
