Join a growing team at OPP! We are currently seeking a skilled Production Supervisor
. This is a great opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, safety-focused industrial environment.
The Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating daily work activities to meet production and quality standards. This position has direct supervision of employees and will drive a high-performance team culture. The supervisor is also responsible for leading continuous improvement and driving sustainable operation and performance-based metrics.
Duties and Expectations- Provide directions for developing and maintaining high performance production teams
- Provide or delegate training to all employees on current and/or new policies and procedures
- Monitor production and quality standards throughout the shift. Follow up with team on KPIs and team goals
- Ensure all aspects of safety are always followed by all employees
- Communicate regularly with employees, identify coaching opportunities and engage employees to improve performance
- Serve as a change agent for continuous improvement initiatives
- Troubleshoot machine issues and work with other departments to resolve issues as quickly as possible
- Monitor and ensure all line functions meet the standards for all policies and procedures
- Develop and implement procedures to correct underperformance and other concerns that risk the quality and performance standards set
- All other duties as assigned
- Minimum of three years experience in previous supervision role in manufacturing environment
- Possess a high level of technical expertise, ability to apply skills to continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Critical and proactive thinking skills
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Able to work in a non-climate-controlled setting
