Mental Health Therapist

Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for Mental Health Therapist for a growing school-based mental health program. This role is onsite at assigned school locations in Ohio and will also require some office-based work.

The Lead School-Based Mental Health Therapist will provide clinical therapy to children and adolescents while serving as the site lead for assigned school locations. This role includes managing a caseload, supporting student mental health needs, and providing consultation to teachers and school staff. The therapist will also mentor peers, support onboarding of new clinicians, and contribute to school-wide behavioral support planning.

• Provide therapy and support to children and adolescents in school and community-based settings
• Manage a full caseload and conduct student assessments
• Serve as a site lead, providing guidance and mentoring to other clinicians
• Participate in IEP/504 meetings and collaborate with teachers and school staff
• Support documentation, reporting, and compliance with agency and school requirements
• Respond to crises and behavioral escalations in a professional and timely manner

• Licensed in Ohio (LSW/LISW, LPC/LPCC, LMFT/IMFT)
• Experience providing therapy to children or adolescents
• Ability to work effectively within school systems, including familiarity with IEP/504 processes
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and able to work independently
