Join our mission‑driven team. This shift‑based desk role is essential for the safety and security of patients, residents, and staff at the Chestnut Hill facility.
Job SummaryAs the Front Desk associate, you will monitor building access, manage daily schedules, and provide 24‑hour protection and emergency response in a housing and healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Control access to the facility and ensure residents and visitors meet identification and safety policies.
- Maintain the daily facility schedule and provide accurate updates to the web‑based system.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all inquiries, including phone calls

- Perform security rounds and monitor the premises continuously, reporting any concerns to management.

- Current CPR and First Aid certificates.
- Clear background check, including drug screening, employment history, and criminal record.

- Basic math and analytical abilities.
- Experience in answering phones and taking messages.
- Self‑motivated team player who can remain calm in crisis situations.
- Understanding of the unique needs of homeless and disabled individuals.
- Knowledge of emergency evacuation procedures and crisis communication plans.
- Fluency in multiple languages
Tech is beneficial. - Strong customer‑service orientation and multitasking ability.
- Comprehensive knowledge of facility procedures and the VOANS Manual.
- Comfortable with computer platforms for data entry and record maintenance.
- Willingness to work proactively with residents and community partners.
- Experience in a healthcare or housing setting is a plus.
