A well-established, highly respected heavy civil contractor in Northwest Ohio is actively seeking a Bridge Estimator to join their growing team. This firm has been a staple in the region for decades, with a strong backlog of ODOT bridge and infrastructure work. They are known for disciplined operations, long-term client relationships, and delivering complex transportation projects the right way.
What You'll Be Doing- Preparing competitive cost estimates for ODOT bridge and heavy highway projects
- Performing detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing
- Developing bid strategies and reviewing plans/specifications
- Coordinating with project management and operations teams
- Assisting with subcontractor solicitation and scope alignment
- Supporting preconstruction efforts and value engineering
- Proven experience estimating bridge or heavy civil projects
- Strong familiarity with ODOT specifications and bidding processes
- Experience with estimating software (Heavy Bid preferred)
- Ability to evaluate risk, logistics, and constructability
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Long-standing contractor with deep roots in the region
- Consistent pipeline of ODOT bridge and infrastructure work
