DescriptionThe Industrial Engineer is responsible for planning and overseeing the layout of equipment, office, and production facilities. This role involves conducting studies to maximize workflow and spatial utilization, ensuring facility efficiency and workplace safety, and performing cycle time and bottleneck analyses. The Industrial Engineer will develop and improve work methods and collaborate with functional and operation managers to enhance productivity, quality, and throughput.
Responsibilities- Conduct studies in operations to maximize workflow and spatial utilization.
- Ensure facility efficiency and workplace safety.
- Perform cycle time and bottleneck analyses.
- Develop and improve work methods.
- Collaborate with functional managers and operation managers to improve productivity, quality, and throughput.
- Support World Class Manufacturing (WCM), especially for Workplace Organization (WO) and Logistic (LO) pillars.
- Assist the IE Manager in various IE and WCM-related assignments and projects.
- Perform manpower planning, leveling, and adjustments according to Assembly Plants' Volume Adjustments.
- Conduct Direct Labor, Indirect Labor, and Ergonomic Studies.
- Interact daily with production management and union leadership on matters relating to staffing requirements and IE activities.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering doing time studies, plant layout, etc.
- Must have Automotive Assembly Process Knowledge.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Strong Communication and Organization Skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering.
- Proficient or Certified in MODAPTS.
The Industrial Engineer will primarily spend time on the plant floor and must be able to work any shift.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $37.00 - $39.40/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. The benefits available for this temporary role may include:
