Our client is seeking a dynamic leader with deep expertise in thin film deposition in a semiconductor industry and a passion for innovation to manage their Manufacturing Engineering team. This role is pivotal in transitioning cutting‑edge R&D technologies into high‑volume manufacturing, ensuring efficiency, stability, and quality.
Exposure to data analytics and AI and Machine Learning applications in manufacturing
Key Responsibilities- Lead the ramp‑up of new technologies from R&D to manufacturing, achieving goals for efficiency, yield, and throughput.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Develop and document new process introduction, ensuring alignment with manufacturing integration and quality standards.
- Oversee the creation of process documentation, including control plans, work instructions, and FMEA.
- Drive global process alignment and equipment standardization initiatives.
- Engage cross‑functional teams to support process innovations and operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physical Science;
Master’s preferred. - 5+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in thin‑film deposition processes and thermal annealing in high‑volume settings.
- Proficient in materials characterization and optical metrology tools.
- Skilled in data analytics, AI, and machine learning applications in manufacturing.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards and statistical tools like JMP or Minitab.
- Reports to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering.
- 5% - 10% travel required.
- This position includes direct reports.
