As an Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for providing detailed cost estimates for industrial projects. You’ll analyze blueprints, gather pricing from vendors, and work closely with project teams to ensure accurate and competitive bids. This role will be critical in supporting a growing portfolio of industrial construction projects.
Day to Day- Develop and prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects at different phases of design and construction.
- Perform material and equipment takeoffs, obtain vendor pricing, and assign labor factors using estimating manuals.
- Read and interpret bid documents, ensuring alignment with project requirements and client expectations.
- Assist in negotiating contracts, change orders, and pricing adjustments as needed.
- Maintain estimate files and track awarded contracts, including pricing extra work items, procurement, and cost adjustments.
- 2-5 years of industrial estimating experience
- Proficiency with estimating software (MCAA, Accubid, or similar)
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
