Are you ready to lead strategic sourcing initiatives in a dynamic and innovative environment?Our client is seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead their capital equipment sourcing and procurement efforts. This role demands a strategic thinker who can build strong business relationships and drive value through effective sourcing decisions. If you have a knack for managing complex projects and influencing stakeholders, this opportunity is for you.
Responsibilities- Lead strategic capital equipment sourcing for assigned categories.
- Develop and implement global sourcing processes and negotiation strategies.
- Manage commercial negotiations with OEM partners and ensure supply chain efficiency.
- Coordinate demand forecasting and cost reduction initiatives across multiple sites.
- Implement inventory optimization programs to enhance service levels and reduce costs.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all management levels.
- Mentor and develop supply chain personnel to enhance team capabilities.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance and resolve vendor issues.
- B bloke's degree in business or supply chain management, with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 8 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in OEM vendor management, sourcing, and purchasing processes.
- Experience in capital equipment sourcing within semiconductor, PV, or battery manufacturing industries preferred.
- Familiarity with MRP concepts and ERP systems (SAP & Oracle preferred).
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (20% - 30%).
- Reports to the Head/Director or Sr. Manager of Strategic Capital Equipment Sourcing.
- Collaborates with peers across various departments including operations, engineering, and finance.
