Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office.

• Example of Essential Duties:
  • Greeting patients courteously and professionally.
  • Verifying / updating insurance information.
  • Collecting co-pays.
  • Verifying and releasing patient orders.
  • Answering phones courteously and professionally.
  • Scheduling appointments, lab tests, etc.
  • Answering general patient questions.
  • Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.
  • Forward charge tickets to data entry.
• Other Essential Duties May Include:
  • Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts.
  • Assorted file room duties.
  • Assist daytime medical receptionist when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

• Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills required.
• Consistently arrives at work in professional attire on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
• Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.

• HS diploma or GED.

• Previous clerical experience in a Drs. Office and previous experience in billing preferred.
