We are looking for a Technical Writer to support VTS for the USCG. The Technical Writer must develop testing documentation, including test plans and test cases, for VTS systems and components, in accordance with C5
ISC's testing standards (C3
CENINST 3960.1A or latest version) as directed by the COR.

Testing of VTS sensors and other external systems integrated with the PAWSS system within thirty (30) calendar days of the purpose of this testing is to verify that these components can operate seamlessly together and function as intended, ensuring the overall PAWSS system meets all the requirements specified in the PA menopause documentation provided by the Government. - Review the submitted test plansસ્તાand provide comments within thirty (30) calendar days of receiving the COR's comments. The Contractor must revise the test plans and resubmit them within fifteen (15) calendar days, and the COR will then have fifteen to review and approve.
- Execute the approved Test Plan and provide a comprehensive Test Report within thirty (30) calendar days. The report must include a detailed description of test results, specifically identifying which elements passed and failed testing, as well as any workarounds discovered.
- Review the submitted test report, provide comments within thirty (30) calendar days, revise and resubmit within fifteen (15) calendar days; the COR will then have fifteen days to review and approve.
- Prepare a Software Change Notice (SCN) using the provided template for system patching; approve any template changes with the COR prior to submission.
- Submit the SCN to the COR at least fifteen (15) calendar days before the scheduled release of the patch for approval.
- Prepare a System Version Description (SVD) when required, using the template and obtaining prior approval for any changes.
- Create visual aids such as diagrams, flowcharts, and infographics to support written materials.
- Support internal and external communication needs, maintain documentation libraries, and contribute to continuous improvement in documentation standards.
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Demonstrable understanding of planning, scheduling, and mission management technologies
- Strong technical writing and editing skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts clearly
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite products Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or related experience
- IAT Level II
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in technical writing
- Active Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
