Pharmacy Technician Supervisor – Maryview Medical Center

Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position: Under general supervision, assist the pharmacy department leadership for inpatient (acute care; hospital) and/or outpatient (ambulatory; retail; home infusion) services. Individuals in this job function have increased responsibilities within the pharmacy department business and management of pharmacy technicians. Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a pharmacy with additional preferred experience in a Pharmacy Technician Specialist or Lead Pharmacy Technician type role.

Candidates for this job show effective communication skills and proven leadership qualities. Responsible for overseeing training and scheduling as well as acting as a resource for all pharmacy staff. Functions in a variety of roles to improve pharmacy operations and has management privileges for business purchasing approval alongside oversight and evaluations of other pharmacy technicians. Other functions as directed by pharmacy department leadership.

Education

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma (Required)

Licensing/ Certification: ExCPT Certification provided by the National Health career Association; or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification and registration with State Board of Pharmacy (Required)

Experience: 2 years of Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion pharmacy (Required)
