Position: Management Accountant (12 month fixed-term contract)

Management Accountant, Weir Minerals

Location: Todmorden / Hybrid

Purpose of Role: Weir Minerals EMECA region needs a Management Accountant to support the region. This role will report into the regional Financial Controller (within the Finance & Accounting CoE) and will work closely with the regional finance team, the global shared services team, and the wider business as required. The Management Accountant will assist in a varied range of accounting activities, to assist in ensuring all financial postings in the company's SAP system are complete and accurate.

This role will support the full EMECA region as required, with a large focus on the complex UK entity & branches. This role with work on other ad-hoc requests as required eg system changes, team projects and provide general support to the Financial Controller and team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Month-end & Year-end activities eg accruals, prepayment, reconciliations, consolidation system activities – liaising with Shared Service Centre
  • AP coding, payment approvals, FX/cash management input, credit card admin, cost centre admin
  • Fixed asset, leases, budget input, project work
  • Assisting with audit, statutory account, statistical & fiscal filing inputs

Job Knowledge/Education and

Qualifications:
  • Manufacturing industry experience required
  • Multi-national company experience
  • SAP/other ERP system and consolidation system skills (TM1/Cognos, Hyperion etc)
  • Qualified / part qualified accountant
    • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
