The PreK–Grade 8 ESY Special Educator provides specially designed instruction and supports for students with disabilities during the Extended School Year program. Instruction focuses on maintenance of critical skills, prevention of regression, and continued progress on prioritized IEP goals across academic, behavioral, communication, and functional domains.

• Valid State certification in Special Education (PreK–8, PK–12, or appropriate grade span)
• Current teaching license in good standing
• Background check and fingerprint clearance

• Experience teaching students with disabilities at the elementary and/or middle school level
• Experience implementing IEPs and specially designed instruction
• Experience with accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction
• Experience with behavior supports and structured classroom environments
• Experience collecting progress monitoring data

• Implement prioritized IEP goals and ESY services as assigned
• Provide specially designed instruction in small group and/or individualized settings
• Deliver instruction in areas such as Literacy and math intervention, Communication and social skills, Functional and adaptive skills, Behavior regulation and executive functioning
• Implement behavior support and reinforcement plans
• Collect and record ESY progress data and service logs
• Collaborate with ESY staff including related service providers and paraprofessionals
• Maintain required ESY documentation and compliance records
• Communicate with ESY coordinator and program administration as directed
