My client, a leading Waste & Recycling company, is looking for an experienced Recycling Site Supervisor to join their established team. The Recycling Site Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing daily MRF (Materials Recovery Facility) operations, ensuring health & safety compliance, maximising operational efficiency, and maintaining high production and environmental standards across the site.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with strong operational experience within the waste and recycling sector.

Recycling Site Supervisor – Responsibilities:

* Supervise, lead and motivate operational staff to maintain high performance and productivity levels

* Allocate daily tasks and manage staffing levels to meet production targets

* Coordinate closely with the Site/Operations Manager regarding staffing, performance, and operational challenges

* Oversee the safe and efficient running of the MRF, ensuring smooth processing of materials

* Manage and monitor machinery performance, reporting faults and coordinating planned preventative maintenance

* Conduct routine inspections of plant and equipment to ensure safe and compliant operation

* Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, downtime, stock levels, and material outputs

* Oversee the safe loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing materials

* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, environmental permits, and company policies

* Deliver toolbox talks and promote a strong safety-first culture across the workforce

* Identify and implement improvements to increase operational efficiency and reduce downtime

* Monitor material quality and contamination levels to meet customer and contractual standards

* Secure the facility at the end of shift and ensure stock is stored safely and correctly
