Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer looking to make a real impact in a hands-on manufacturing environment, in a standalone role, working on complex engineered systems from concept through to installation?

With a strong focus on innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement, the business designs and manufactures special purpose machinery, conveyors, structural steelwork, and bespoke fabrications for a diverse client base.

This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer that is proficient in AutoCAD and Solid Works, looking for a varied opportunity with a long established manufacturer of specialised manufacturing equipment.

The Role:

Research, develop, and improve designs for special purpose machinery, conveyors, structural steelwork, and fabrications
Produce and modify design schemes, calculations, BOMs, and detailed engineering drawings
Perform engineering calculations and analysis to evaluate performance, safety, and efficiency
Create 2D and 3D designs using Solid Works and AutoCAD
Collaborate with sales, production, procurement, and project teams to ensure successful delivery

The Person :

Experience in a mechanical design role
Proficient in Solid Works and AutoCADJob reference: BBBH
