An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Maintenance Engineer to join a forward-thinking production team. In this role, you'll enjoy the perfect mix of electrical work, CNC maintenance, and hands-on continuous improvement projects, ideal if you're looking for challenge, autonomy, and career progression.
In this role, you will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of production facilities. You'll carry out safety inspections, complete both preventive and reactive maintenance on CNC machinery, and take ownership of all site electrical systems. You'll also play a key role in driving improvements to boost efficiency and reduce downtime, while managing contractors and coordinating maintenance resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out safety inspections, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safe working practices
Install, test, and maintain site electrical systems, including fire alarms and EV chargers
Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
Deliver preventive and reactive maintenance on CNC machinery, including diagnostics and repairs on Fanuc, Siemens, and Hurco control systems
Oversee machine calibrations, alignments, and control system troubleshooting
Identify continuous improvement opportunities
Manage external contractors and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory
Skills & Experience Required:
Strong electrical installation, testing, and maintenance engineering skills
Experience completing EICRs
Proven background working with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machinery
Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and control system faults
Knowledge of PLC and CNC control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Hurco)
