This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced administrator or PA with a strong background in accountancy or fees and billing to join our historic and highly regarded organisation. You will enjoy a close‑knit school community and a purposeful, human and genuinely rewarding working environment.
The Role
As Fees Coordinator & PA to the Bursar, you will manage the smooth financial and operational running of the Bursar’s office from a financial and administrative standpoint. Specifically, you will manage the administration of school fees and provide a high‑level support and PA service to the Bursar. You will take ownership of the end‑to‑end fees process, act as the main point of contact for parents within the Bursar’s office, and ensure all records and systems are accurate and up to date.
You will also manage confidential matters, coordinate the diary and meetings, and produce high‑quality correspondence and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Produce bills, invoices, statements and reports
- Manage direct debits, bursaries, fees in advance and concessions
- Oversee credit control, reconciliations and debt management
Qualifications
- Significant previous PA or related administrative experience
- Significant previous accountancy, or fees and billing experience
- Diary management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional organisational and administrative skills
- Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- A high degree of tact, discretion and confidentiality
- The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
