Responsibilities

Palm Point Behavioral Health is a 74-bed behavioral health hospital located in Titusville, Florida, minutes from Cape Canaveral. It treats adults, children and adolescents with a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses including depression, anxiety and substance abuse in a modern and well-appointed facility. The hospital offers inpatient treatment options and serves communities in Brevard County and beyond. Titusville is approximately 30 miles north of historic Cocoa Beach, and 40 miles east of Orlando’s famous theme parks.

It’s an ideal climate with abundant dining, shopping and recreational opportunities along the Atlantic coast.

Supervisor Nurse will be responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care for all patients on the in‑patient units. Oversees all unit activities including admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, seclusion and restraints, Baker Act. Oversees schedule to ensure adequate coverage and proper break/meal time. Accountable for implementation of collaborative care plans as directed by the physician(s) and treatment team. Provides leadership in maintaining professional nursing standards in the clinical setting, including medical management and assessment of patients, ensuring environmental safety, and working with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu.

Oversees Mental Health Techs, administers medication, and provides medication for nursing staff when the pharmacy is closed. Coordinates all medical codes to ensure they are carried out appropriately and safely.

• 5 years RN experience with 2 years in behavioral health preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time‑management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at once.
• Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done; adaptable and enjoys a challenge.
• Ability to keep company confidences.
