Overview

Seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to support adult patients in a busy outpatient medical clinic. This role focuses on accurate blood collection, specimen handling, and delivering a calm, compassionate patient experience in a clinical environment that includes primary care, internal medicine, and infectious disease services.

Titusville, FL — $16 – $17 per hour

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on adult patients
• Properly label, process, and prepare specimens for lab testing and transport
• Collect additional specimens as needed (urine, swabs, etc.)
• Verify patient identity and explain procedures clearly
• Monitor patients for reactions and respond appropriately
• Document collections and test orders in the EHR
• Coordinate with providers and clinical staff regarding specimens
• Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and safety protocols
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized phlebotomy area
• Support clinic flow and patient care operations

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy training with hands-on experience
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire

• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient or clinic setting
• Experience with internal medicine or infectious disease patients
• Strong knowledge of specimen handling and lab procedures

• Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional, patient-focused communication
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic
• Comfortable using EHR systems and basic computer applications
