Job Description
Mid‑Level Liaison Engineer - 2nd Shift ing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a Liaison Engineer (level
3) to join the Space Launch System program at the Florida Space Station Process Facility and Vertical Assembly Building, locations owned by NASA at Kennedy Space Center, FL. The project supports the construction of the largest rocket in history and aims to eventually take the world to Mars. Boeing has been at the forefront of human spaceflight for six decades.
Responsibilities
- Apply broad knowledge of Boeing design and engineering principles
- Assess and resolve product and process issues through the product lifecycle. Develop and implement product and process improvement
- Research technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and design interim and final engineering solutions. Lead development of interim and final solutions
- Analyze, conduct root cause analysis, and develop dispositions for design non‑conformances
- Address complex nonconforming conditions and detect deviations
- Analyze reported problems for potential safety issues; recommend and manage complex resolution
- Represent the engineering community in the build through post‑production environment
- Ensure supplier and build partner are compliant with Boeing standards
- Develop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment
- Support activities for on‑site disabled product repair teams and accident investigations
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non‑US equivalent directly related to the work statement
- Experience with Material Review Board / Liaison Engineering (MRB / LE) Authority, including participation in Material Review Board and Integrated Product Team activities related to aircraft structures
- Willingness to work alternating shifts, holidays, and weekends to support customer needs
- 3+ years of engineering experience
- Knowledge of repair concepts including repair station processes, component repair concepts, procedures, and warranty processes and contractual agreements
- Production Engineering Experience on the Space Launch Systems Program
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master + 3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Benefits & PayBoeing offers a Total Rewards package including competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Pay range: $103,700 - $140,300.
